A sunny Thursday morning, though the sun didn’t show till 9. Who can blame it? I’m slow and reluctant to rise these November mornings. I am struggling to get going with the day. It really helps to have a plan. I made a plan to finish taking down the vines in the greenhouse yesterday. I fought my procrastinating ways. The sun made it easier. It was warm, balmy and cheerful inside. It is done.uite a few years ago.

I had to push hard to make myself repot the herbs and Mandevilla to take inside the house. The Mandevilla was my mom’s given to me a quite a few years ago. It hasn’t bloomed for the last few years but here it is in its glory in September of 2020. It still bloomed in 2021. After that I can’t remember. I will try for blooms in 2027.

I must have plans and goals. I cannot just let myself drift and hope for the best. Opportunity just doesn’t come knocking. I had hopes of whipping up my place of dust, dirt and clutter but things don’t work that way. It is difficult to will myself without any concrete steps. Instead of giving up altogether like I usually do, I’ve set my roomba vacuum to work. I have 2 of them. There’s no excuse to say I can’t push a button. Now I must go for my morning walk.
I always find it difficult to be motivated at this time of the year. I assume that the change in daylight and the coming winter has a huge impact on my motivation.
