My happy place in the morning in the greenhouse. The air is fragrant with thriving bitter melons. I love the scent the leaves and flowers give off. The vines are climbing everywhere. I am in bitter melon heaven.

I dont’ think I’ve ever come across a bitter melon before? The flower reminds me a little of the flower that you get with the buttercup pumpkin. Is the bitter melon something similar to a pumpkin or squash? What is the flavour of this bitter melon?
Lily, wow! What a beautiful vegetable! I have been reading a little about how to cook with it. How do you most like to use it? Wish I could smell inside the greenhouse right now!
Your greenhouse is absolutely beautiful. I am happy that you’re in bitter melon heaven!!! It’s great to have that happy place. Thank you for sharing it with me.
Bittermelons are a fave with my husband & I, tolerated by some of our kids and abdolutely hated by one๐. Hence, timing is everything if we decide to cook it. We’re only now starting our garden. I hope some day, I can grow them as well as you do.
